Hold On's compostable tall kitchen bags hold up to 13 gallons and are made from a combination of PBAT (polybutylene adipate terephthalate), PLA (polylactic acid), and cornstarch — plant-derived and renewable materials that break down cleanly in a commercial composting facility without releasing microplastics or toxic residue. No BPA, no PFOA, no petroleum-based plastic.
PBAT is a biodegradable polymer that requires less crude oil to produce than conventional plastic. PLA is derived from organic sources like corn or sugar. Together with cornstarch, they create a heavy-duty bag that's strong enough for everyday kitchen use and kind enough for the planet when you're done with it.
Certified compostable by BPI (Biodegradable Products Institute). Packaged in minimal, recyclable FSC-certified packaging.
