Sandalwood combs are anti-static and won't rip hair out, but instead will gently detangle. The combs are coated with a wax when made, to protect them. This wax will wear off in time. If you like, you can treat your comb occasionally with olive oil to condition the wood. As the wood ages, it will turn shades of green, which really adds to its beauty! The scent of the sandalwood alone makes this comb such a treat to use.
